  1. Its not even just the new arena. Its the location. They are trying to make the Warriors a big market team and a desirable place for NBA stars to come and play.

I see their plan and I am not mad. I was a little disappointed at first but, since they are close enough for me to still go to the games, I'm fine with it. As long as they don't change their name back to the San Francisco Warriors. :p

  2. It's not just an arena, but business. They need more retail and office space around arena to make more money. Also they could not add more suites and suites are biggest money makers for the club. Oracle is the oldest arena in the league anyway.

  3. fuck San Francisco…they are still an Oakland team whether ppl wanna admit it or not…besides they sell out all the time even when the team stinks! so tell me why the sudden need to move all of a sudden? the Warriors have the best home crowd in the NBA and they are gonna fuck with that? the crowd is gonna change to a bunch of aristocrats sipping on wine and cheese. the owners are tryina turn the team into the Lakers to be honest…and I don't know about the rest of you but I HATE the Lakers

  4. All you people whining about the move to SF need to quit the bitching.

Golden State Warriors has long been considered a BAY AREA team. Why else do you think whenever they play on National TV like TNT or ESPN they always include San Francisco landmarks in their shots like the Golden Gate Bridge?

Also, since it was a Bay Area team in general and not specifically an Oakland team, a lot of fans at Oracle are from DIFFERENT CITIES. You guys act like it's all Oakland residents that go to the games.

  5. While i do think that they are the bays team i think the reason that national broadcasts show SF instead of our city is because they want to show a place that doesnt have the rougher sides to it more obvious and has more nationally none landmarks along with pressure from the NBA to have a more aesthetically pleasing (in their eyes) city but no matter what we should support the dubs in whatever arena they play in and whatever city its in i mean it is all bay baby
