I dont get everyone commenting and saying Barry was better, yes he is more talented. Aaron Rodgers is more talented then Tom Brady. Calvin Johnson was more talented than Jerry Rice. At the end of the day the best ability is sustainability and availability. Emmitt wasnt the most talented but he was the most reliable. Which makes him the greatest. It’s the same thing that makes Tom Brady and Jerry Rice the greatest.
Emmit Smith is a more complete back than Barry sanders
Barry sanders had a different style of running than Emmit. Emmit can make you miss and he’s a in between the tackles runner. Barry sanders would try to make everyone miss that’s why he leads the nfl in most yds lost because he would get 15 carries for 30 yds then he would get an 80 yd run
