The way to defeat the option offense is to have an olb or de hit the QB every play and an mlb or dt tackle the rb every single play. That takes the read away from the QB and forces him to keep it or pitch it and its easy to contain the pitch man. See 30:30 to see how to defeat the option.
Lamar outplayed Baker. MM and fans will ignore this because of stat lines but Baker had, as usual, open players df a lot, a couple blown coverages for big gains, and a whole lot of off target passes and INTs in between. Lamar didn't put ball in harms way all game and missed "maybe" 2 targets who gained separation all day.
Bloody hell. Lamar Jackson is a fantastic running QB. And in 2019 he can fling the ball too?!?!
I almost feel bad for the Steelers. They are going to have to deal with these two QBs in their division for a decade.
I just realised their defence was so good that this team could commit higher draft picks for the offence and somehow LJack went from a runner (which is all they needed) to a complete dual threat in one off-season.

I didn't watch last year, but I can see the Mayfield hype. And the Ravens' defence to close the game out was just excellent. The kind of defence that would win several Superbowls with someone like Drew Brees throwing for them.
