Trae Young has great potential but we knew he could be Fredette or Curry, but i think the best part of his game is the playmaking and not the shooting(21 points but 12-10were fts,which is good, while shooting with terrible fg and 3fg). Can do acrobatic layups but not good 3 point shooting selection.
Ps.Also remember that this is summer league and one game doesn’t make you bust or goat

Trae can really dish. He was great in college but the way he draws the defenders to give his teammates very easy buckets is great. From what I saw he had better shot selection this game than any of his other Summer League performances

This game didnt prove that he isnt a bust, yea he scored 21 points but more than half of those are FTs and he shot less than 35%, he should start doing a better job with his shot selection, i mean he is forcing it too much, he doesnt have to prove he can make 30ft 3 pointers, like dude just take normal ones and when your wide open

These dudes that go around screaming bust at every chance, don't know and watch enough of the NBA to know wtf they're talking about. You can't call a 19 year old kid fresh off one year a bust it takes 3 at least to justify that kind of title. And he's not Steph he's Nash, I look forward to seeing him improve and grow as a player

Look I like Trae Young. Terrific shooter. Great ball handler. But what scares me is the fact that he is not winning. The player that he is, he could be like a 3-point shooting LeBron, but that's unfortunately not the case. I mean we all saw Oklahomas season this year. Not so good. Same with last years number one overall pick, Markelle Fultz. He is not the guy that could get a win for his team even though his great stats. Young is playing fot the Hawks though so I shouldn't be complaining…
PS. For those who didnt watch Oklahomas season they played like trash and Trae Young was carriying them but they still couldnt get wins.
