Stephen Curry Delivered NBA Finals MVP Numbers Not Enough in Game 3

Stephen Curry was brilliant from the opening buzzer until the remaining minutes of the 4th quarter as he delivered NBA Finals MVP numbers with 47 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, and 2 steals.

His monstrous effort however was not enough to win against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Curry was playing with a depleted lineup as Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Looney are all injured and didn’t play. He had little help from his team as only Green and Iguodala scored in double figures 17 and 11 respectively.

Curry did everything he can making plays, hitting the big shot, hustling and diving for loseballs but Green’s intensity was not there, the perimeter defense to stop the outside shooting of the Raptors did not rotate fast enough.

On a positive note, the Warriors was always in striking distance of only trailing between 7 and 13 points throughout the game.

Even if KD, KT and KL comeback and the Warrios win the title, Curry winning Game 2 for the Warrios and tonight’s performance is enough for him to win the NBA Finals MVP award.

President Trump is a golfer and big fan of Tiger Woods who announced earlier he is awarding Tiger with Presidential Medal of Freedom for making a career comeback winning his 15th major championship last month.

Tiger Woods confirmed that he will be visiting the White House on Monday May 6, 2019 to culminate his Masters victory.

The President and professional golfer have played golf together in Jupiter, Florida back in February.

Aside from the award, we would like to see what food President Trump is serving on that day, will it be a combination of hamburger fast foods?

The Saints Historic Drive Against the Eagles to NFC title game

in Basketball/NFL

The New Orleans Sainst was down 14-0 but made a historic 11-minute and 29-second drive that fueled a comeback win 14-20 and push them to the NFC title game. The drive took 18 plays, 92 yards the longest in the Saints history and by any team in the last 20 years.

Drew Brees threw two touchdown passes including the go-ahead points to Michael Thomas to secure their win.

Saints guard has this to say — “It was tough. I mean, it was one of the hardest drive I’ve been a part of, Saints guard Larry Warford said of a drive that actually lasted 22 plays and forced the Saints to gain a total of 117 yards because of three offensive penalties and one defensive penalty. I was out of breath getting down there … and everybody is tired. But you smell the end zone and you can’t give it away. You worked too hard for it when we were driving, and we finished it.”

Drew Brees has this to say — “I’m not sure if that’s a record. We went on a 117-yard drive to take the lead in the third quarter and really didn’t look back. That was the turning point the game.”

The historic 18 play drive is below:

Fantasy NFL T.Y. Hilton D does not require ankle surgery

in Basketball

Good news for dynasty fantasy owners, T.Y. Colt wide receiver who is suffering high and low sprain does not require surgery and would be able to get back to playing after good rest and rehab.

This process can still take months but with the Colts season over the rehabilitation can now begin in time for next season.

The star receiver has 76 regular season catches for 1,270 yards and six TDs in 14 games and would still be considered WR1 in most fantasy owners team regardless of format.

Kryrie Irving Fuming as Celtics ‘Lacking’ Experience on a 105–103 Loss against Magic

in Basketball

The Celtics was only down by two points with 2.9 seconds left where Irving was in the backcourt and Gordon Hayward inbounded to Jayson Tatum who shot a jumper that fell off the rim. After that play Kyrie started waving his hand in anger.
Apparently Kyrie didn’t agree with the last play and instead of putting the ball in the hands of Tatum he wanted the inbounds to go to Al Horford who will eventually set up a final play to Kyrie taking the last shot.
In an interview after the game Kyrie said their struggles can be attributed to — “Experience. It’s the best thing I can say is experience, We’re lacking it, and because of that, we have a lot of learning left to do. So we have a lot of ground to make up in that aspect…

I know from the majority of the fact that we’re better than most teams in this league, It’s just going out and proving it every single night and demanding it and actually showing it. It’s not easy to be great.”

This is Kyrie’s response on the Celtics lacking experience — pic.twitter.com/MPSxczGyBY

Experience needs time and even if you stack your team with veterans it still requires time and experience of playing with each other. The good news is that the Celtics are stocked with a mixture of veteran and young talents.

The Celtics have now lost two in a row and stands at 25-17 records.
